‘This shouldn’t have occurred!’ Trump slams Biden for the ‘heinous’ terror incident.

DONALD TRUMP has spoken to the American people in the aftermath of the “heinous” terrorist attack on Kabul Airport.

In a blistering attack, the former president targeted Joe Biden for his handling of the crisis. Mr Trump extended his sympathies to the families of those killed in the Kabul incident, which claimed the lives of 13 American service members, on Fox News.

“America mourns the loss of our courageous and bright service members in a vicious and barbaric terrorist attack in Afghanistan as a nation,” he said.

“In the line of duty, these valiant American warriors laid down their lives. They put their lives on the line for the country they love, racing against the clock to save their fellow citizens.

“They died as American heroes, and our country will never forget them.

“I want to convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have died as a result of our actions. We, the people of the United States, are grieving with you.

“We also pray that God heals the other brave American service members who were wounded in this horrible attack,” they added.

“In addition, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of all the innocent citizens who died, as well as the numerous men, women, and children who were harmed in this heinous crime.

“This catastrophe should not have happened in the first place. It should never have happened in the first place. And if I had been your president, that would not have occurred.

“I hope that every American will join me in praying for the safe return of US citizens and military from Afghanistan in the days ahead.”

At least 90 Afghans were killed in an attack on the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, which was carried out by two ISIS-K suicide bombers.

According to reports, at least 18 US servicemen were hurt.

Mr Trump’s remarks come only hours after Vice President Joe Biden delivered a similar speech to the nation, vowing to “hunt down” the terrorist group.

“To those who perpetrated this attack, as well as everyone who wishes America harm, know this: we will not forgive,” he declared.

“We are not going to forget. We’ll track you down and hold you accountable. I will use every weapon at my disposal to defend our people’s interests.”

“We will not be discouraged by terrorists,” he stressed. They will not be able to derail our mission. We’ll keep moving forward with the evacuation.”
