This Morning’s Martin Lewis is replaced with new money expert after quitting GMB

THIS Morning’s Martin Lewis has been replaced with a new money expert as he takes a break a week after quitting Good Morning Britain.

Fans were shocked when Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes introduced Emmanuel Asuquo instead of their usual money expert.

Explaining how he would help This Morning viewers, Emmanuel said: “What I’d like to help people with is buying a property or the sale of a property or even having mortgage issues.

“Or that big one right now – trying to get a refund on a flight. Any financial issue like that, give us a call and come here to help today.”

Eamonn said in response: “You are the man. No problem too big or too small.”

Fans took to Twitter to ask where Martin was, with one person saying: “What?? No Martin Lewis??”

A second said: “Where is Martin Lewis?”

However, fans shouldn’t fear – as Ruth revealed he is on holiday.

Martin recently quit his slot on Good Morning Britain after 17 years as he “can’t cope” with the workload.

Martin explained he will be launching a new weekly live show in September and he “can’t cope” with doing that and the GMB slot as well.

However, he did insist that he wants to be invited back on the breakfast show as a guest in the future.

At the end of last week’s segment, where he broke down saving account interest rates for viewers, Martin shared: “My time is running out, this is actually my last ever Tips Of The Week.

“Because of my new show coming on every week in September, I am not going to do them any more.”

He added: “I hope to still pop on Good Morning Britain, it’s been a wonderful 15-odd years on ITV daytime.

“I am going to have a bit of a break for the summer, so I just want to say thank you all for watching.”

Explaining his shock exit, Martin told the GMB hosts: “I will see you in September, I’m not leaving properly, but this is my main, every week slot going, because I can’t cope with doing it all at once.”

Shortly after making the announcement live on air, Martin tweeted: “After 17ish yrs on ITV breakfast that was my last Deals of the Week.

“With @itvMLshow going live weekly every Thur eve from Sept, for min 6mths, I need focus on that (I’ll do some Deals there too).

“Thanks for watching these yrs & huge thanks to @GMB & it’s gr8 team for everything.”
