The revelation of Harry’s tell-all book took Charles off guard, and the Royal Family was put on high alert.
According to insiders, Prince Charles was taken aback by the revelation of Prince Harry’s explosive biography last night.
The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall attended a reception at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery in Lostwithiel last night. The couple was at the event when news of Prince Harry’s memoir on his life as a royal emerged, utterly catching them off guard. One Palace aide was so taken aback by the move that all they could say was, “Oh god.”
Another Palace source declined to discuss the book’s contents until the contents were known.
“We are more likely to respond to questions next year, when this memoir is set to be published,” they stated.
Sources with access to confidential information The news “surprised” Charles, he said.
“The Prince of Wales loves his children very much and stays focused on his work to ensure we have a sustainable future for the next generation, including his own children and grandchildren,” a senior Clarence House aide told the Mirror.
The Duke is said to have discussed the book with his family in private, according to the BBC.
A representative for Harry stated that he would not be expected to get clearance from Buckingham Palace for the initiative.
Penguin Random House announced last night that they have obtained a global deal to publish Prince Harry’s memoirs.
The Duke said the book will detail his “mistakes and lessons learnt” through the years, as well as experiences that have molded him.
Harry stated that he would depict “the highs and lows” and that he would be “exact and completely true.”
The book’s publishing date has not been announced by Penguin Random House, however it is likely in late 2022.
“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born, but as the man I’ve become,” Harry said.
“Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, both physically and metaphorically, and my hope is that by sharing my experience — the highs and lows, the mistakes, and the lessons gained – I may illustrate that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we believe.
“I’m happy for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned thus far in my life, and I’m looking forward to people reading a first-hand account of my life that is accurate and completely truthful.”
The book’s publishers called it “intimate and emotional.” “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
