The Queen’s wedding gift to Kate and William is significantly more valuable than Harry and Meghan’s.
According to a recent analysis, the Queen’s wedding gift to Prince William and Kate is worth far more than the gift the monarch gave to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle upon their marriage.
As a wedding present, the Queen gave the future king Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge their country home, Anmer Hall. The Norfolk country house was erected in 1802 and is located in the village of Anmer. The exquisite Georgian property was given to the couple as a wedding gift by the Queen, and it is the most expensive royal palace owned by a Monarch’s grandchild.
Anmer Hall could be rented out for £44,000 per calendar month, according to a study that looked at the possible rent royals could charge if they leased their homes on the private market.
According to research conducted by rental provider UNCLE, a month’s rent of £44,000 is £14,570 more than the average UK annual earnings.
Since 2015, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children have used Anmer as their rural headquarters, which includes 30 rooms and spans over 4,000 square metres.
In 1984, the house was designated as a Grade II listed structure.
According to research, the house that the Queen granted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their 2018 wedding pales in comparison to Anmer and would be the most affordable royal estate to rent out.
According to UNCLE, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor would only cost £7,760 per calendar month to rent.
Buckingham Palace, according to the residential property company, would be the most expensive royal residence to rent.
“With 775 rooms and a central London location, Buckingham Palace would cost £2.6 million to rent per calendar month,” UNCLE said in a statement.
According to the real estate firm, “St James’s Palace, home of Princess Anne, is the second most expensive royal mansion.”
The firm stated: “The rent for St Jame’s Palace is £1.7 million every calendar month.
“Windsor Castle, where the Queen and Duke have been hiding during the plague, is ranked third.
“At £1.3 million every calendar month, the castle might be rented out.”
