The Lost Pinnacle Station DLC has been restored thanks to a ‘Mass Effect Legendary Edition’ mod.

The Lost Pinnacle Station DLC has been resurrected thanks to a ‘Mass Effect Legendary Edition’ mod.

The “Mass Effect Legendary Edition” was announced in May, promising to include all single-player DLC.

It didn’t, however, contain everything.

Pinnacle Station, one of the DLCs, was thought to be lost forever.

According to GamesRadar, a group of modders has just managed to bring it back.

This is the mod’s trailer:

The Pinnacle Station mod for “Mass Effect Legendary Edition” is now available for download on the popular modding website NexusMods for anyone who owns the PC version of the game.

The Pinnacle Station mod for the remastered “Mass Effect” trilogy has over 300 unique downloads and has been viewed over 3,000 times as of this writing on NexusMods.

According to the modders, they were able to restore Pinnacle Station and all of its content while maintaining the trilogy’s current visual style.

Aside from all of the original content, the mod also includes a new music track that is meant to heighten the story’s tension.

Finally, the mod addresses issues such as texture pop-in, collision issues, and errant enemy spawn points.

One of the most anticipated game remasters of the current generation was “Mass Effect Legendary Edition.”

As a result, it far exceeded EA and Bioware’s expectations in terms of sales.

It’s now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

Why Didn’t the ‘Mass Effect’ Remaster Include Pinnacle Station?

When Bioware and EA were preparing to release “Mass Effect Legendary Edition,” they revealed that the 2009 DLC Pinnacle Station would not be included.

The reason, according to developers, was that the DLC’s source code was corrupted, as reported by The Verge.

Pinnacle Station was also created by a different studio, Demiurge, rather than Bioware.

Bioware developers stated shortly before the release of the “Mass Effect” trilogy remaster that they couldn’t recreate Pinnacle Station because it would take six months and cause a significant delay.

As a result, they had no choice but to leave it out of the remaster, which they described as “heartbreaking.”

Get to Know the Modders

The modders in charge of the project spoke to PCGamer, and they echoed the same reasons why Bioware couldn’t restore Pinnacle on their own: it was a massive task to begin with.

Mgamerz, HenBagle, SirCxyrtyx, and others are modders.
