The infant daughter of Princess Beatrice has one thing in common with Charlotte and Lady Louise.
PRINCESS BEATRICE’S infant Sienna has a characteristic with Princess Charlotte and Lady Louise Windsor.
Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi named their first daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who was born on September 18. The name is a salute to Edoardo’s Italian ancestry while also paying homage to Queen Elizabeth II.
In honor of the monarch, Sienna and Beatrice have Her Majesty’s first name as their middle name.
Lady Louise and Charlotte are two other royals whose names pay homage to the monarch.
“We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna,” Beatrice and her husband posted on social media when announcing their child’s birth.
“Our life together has only begun, and I can’t wait to see all the fantastic things that await us,” Edoardo wrote on Instagram.
“I’m overwhelmed with love and gratitude for my wonderful wife, Sienna, and Wolfie.”
“These are the days I’d like to remember for the rest of my life.” This week, a buddy told me the greatest thing: “With every child, you build a new heart.” Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary is the full name of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex’s daughter.
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter, is named after Prince William’s mother, the late Princess of Wales.
Beatrice gave birth to Sienna, a girl weighing 6lb 2oz, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London at 11.42pm on Saturday, September 18, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
“So thrilled to share the news of our daughter’s safe arrival,” she posted on Twitter.
A family acquaintance described her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, as “completely over the moon.”
Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s sister, congratulated “dearest Beabea and Edo” on their “angel” on Instagram.
Out of respect, members of the Royal Family are expected to seek the Queen’s advice on a baby name.
The Queen did not approve of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew’s first choice for Beatrice’s baby name when she was born in 1988, according to The Sun.
The couple reportedly desired the name Annabel for their child, but the Queen refused.
The Queen is said to have rejected the couple’s second name choice, Victoria.
Her Majesty is thought to have suggested the name Beatrice, which is a descendant of Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice.
