Strictly curse fears force show bosses to scrap plans for celebs and pro dancers to isolate together

THE curse of Strictly has forced bosses to scrap plans for celebs and pros to isolate together.

They will instead be in a “bubble” system with regular testing ahead of the BBC show.

However, the dancers are isolating together this month so they can pre-record group routines.

A telly source said: “The idea of holing sexy dancers up with celebrities made it impossible to sign anybody up.”

The curse most recently struck in 2018, when TV host Stacey Dooley left her boyfriend for dance partner Kevin Clifton.

Meanwhile, ITV’s I’m a Celebrity is reportedly planning to axe the traditional boozy wrap party. Contestants will instead fly straight home.

This year’s series will be a more low-key affair with no friends and family flown Down Under either.

Celebs will go back on a plane to the UK to avoid unnecessary mingling.

The show has had to make an agreement with Australia’s government and border force to stage the show in the midst of the global coronavirus crisis.
