Since Gabby Petito went missing, at least SIX bodies have been discovered, including remains discovered near the location where Lauren Cho vanished.

During the manhunt for Brian Laundrie, at least six bodies have been uncovered across the United States.

Since he was reported missing in Florida just two days before his fiancee Gabby Petito was found dead in Wyoming, authorities across the country have been on high alert for Laundrie sightings.

While Laundrie is still on the loose, at least four other persons have been found dead in strange circumstances near regions where police were looking for him or Gabby during that time.

Because they were discovered near where Laundrie was road-tripping with Gabby, an additional two bodies discovered before Laundrie vanished were initially investigated as possibly being tied to the case.

In a Reddit thread this week, internet sleuths looking for clues in the Laundrie case questioned the body count.

One user said, ” “How many bodies have been strewn about at random? There have been, what, 5 BODIES since we started looking for BL?” A married couple found slain in Utah, a guy who committed suicide in a Wyoming bog, and bones discovered during a search for a lady who vanished in a California desert in June are among the bodies discovered.

Three of the body recoveries have been loosely linked to the Laundrie case, including a man who killed himself in Wyoming.

The recovery was the result of a surge in tips to police during the search for Gabby, they said.

Investigators in Utah claimed they were “not ruling out” a link between the Laundrie case and the August murders of a married couple.

One commenter on the Reddit thread pointed out that finding five bodies in such a short period of time isn’t “statistically significant.”

“It’s all a coincidence,” wrote user Keregi. “People here are hyper-focused on particular sections of the country right now, so anything that happens is relevant,” she says. However, in the forum, speculation overwhelmed skepticism, as many other users wondered if there were any ties to the Laundrie case.

The thread’s most high-profile body finding occurred over the weekend as part of the search for Lauren Cho.

Cho, a 30-year-old New Jersey chef, went missing on June 28 after going for a solo stroll in the Yucca Valley desert of California.

On Saturday, authorities revealed the finding of human remains in Yucca Valley, although they have not said whether they believe the remains belong to Cho.

When it was contrasted to Gabby’s disappearance last month, the case received renewed attention.
