SHERIDAN Smith has revealed she leaks milk every time her baby son cries – but is in “awe” of her body.
The 39-year-old gave birth to son Billy in May and says motherhood is the “best feeling in the world”.
But the talented singer and actress admits being a mum hasn’t come without its challenges.
She told People magazine: “I take my hat off to women everywhere. I did not realise what we are capable of doing – our bodies – I’m fascinated by it all. It’s incredible.
“I know it sounds stupid, but I’m in awe. I’ve grown a little person! If he cries, my body leaks milk – it’s amazing.
“I’ve left [motherhood until] later in life but I think it’s probably the right thing.
“I wasn’t ready before I met Jamie and now I’ve got this little family and I just feel – I can’t explain it – like a contentment, a calm.
“Maybe I was looking for something in the wrong places and now I feel like I’ve found it in this little boy.”
The star of Cilla and Gavin & Stacey filmed her and fiancé Jamie Horn’s lives in the four months up to Billy’s birth for a new series.
Becoming Mum saw her break down in tears as she admitted being scared about being a mother.
Showing her before she gave birth, the star tells viewers: “No one knows what’s going on behind it all.
“The biggest worry is you’ve had mental health issues in the past – will it rear its ugly head again?
“Now I’m pregnant it feels like I’ve got a second chance at life.
“So many women out there who are just as scared as me and we need to get some answers.”
Sheridan also revealed she nearly died after the 2016 Baftas when host Graham Norton mocked her.
