RUTH Langsford was forced to apologise to This Morning viewers today after a guest swore live on air.
Ruth and her husband Eamonn Holmes were hosting a consumer rights segment when the air turned blue.
Money expert Katie Morley had been invited on to the ITV show to help with viewers’ consumer issues.
But when one viewer called in to ask for advice about a faulty sofa she had bought, Katie told her: “Oh I’m so sorry, darling, that is s**t.”
Instantly realising what she had said, Katie immediately slapped her hands over her mouth and giggled.
Ruth, meanwhile, cut in and said: “We do apologise for that.”
Eamonn, however, stayed entirely deadpan as Katie composed herself and continued giving the caller advice – with fans flocking to Twitter to point out his facial expression.
One wrote: “Awwwwww, poor @KatieMorley_ on her @thismorning debut……Eamonn’s face is a picture!”
Another agreed: “Eamonn Holmes’ face says it all. Thunderous! Looks like a headmaster!”
However, viewers were quick to support Katie following her awkward moment, with many insisting This Morning invite her back on the show.
One tweeted: “Katie saying it how it is! Definitely bring her back!! #ThisMorning.”
Another added: “Must bring Katie back I like her! #ThisMorning.”
A third said: “Katie deserves a follow now, love ya girl for saying it as it is! #ThisMorning.”
One fan of the show even urged viewers not to complain to television watchdog Ofcom, saying: “Don’t anyone dare complain to Ofcom! Great to hear someone say it exactly as it is! It IS s**t! Well said Katie! #thismorning.”
