Richard Madeley is covered in rotten fruit in a grim trial in an I’m A Celeb teaser clip.

During the Castle Kitchen Nightmares trial, GMB’s Richard Madeley had to dive headfirst into a cave-like room filled with water and rotten fruit, but Ant and Dec cracked up.

Richard Madeley is seen struggling in a cave filled with water and rotten fruit in a clip from I’m A Celebrity’s next Bush Tucker trial, which has been leaked.

The public chose the veteran GMB presenter to take part in the latest trial on the ITV show, which aired on Sunday (November 21).

Richard, on the other hand, has had an eventful start to the show, having faced off against former Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge in the Turrets of Terror trial on Day One, which he lost.

He’ll be in court tonight (November 24) for the Castle Kitchen Nightmares trial, and it looked like he’d be in for another rough time.

Richard had to plunge headfirst down a shoot into a cave-like area filled with water and rotten fruit and vegetables, according to the spoiler clip.

As Richard slid into the muddy ditch and cried out, “Oh my god!” the hosts Ant and Dec were in stitches.

“It’s basically gunk,” Richard said from inside the tunnel, before complaining that with so much fruit in the tunnel, he’ll “never find a star.”

In the nerve-wrackingly narrow room, the broadcaster had to wear a helmet to protect himself.
