King Charles and Queen Camilla will be the main guests at their nephew Peter Phillips’ wedding to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, making it the society wedding of the year.
Unlike earlier significant royal weddings, the ceremony at All Saints’ Church in Cirencester on Saturday is being described as a “intimate family affair,” with the pair eschewing customs like a carriage parade.
High-profile royals, including Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his family after his fall from favor, will also be absent.
However, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are expected to play a major role in the lavish festivities.
However, Ms. Sperling’s prior marriage to 44-year-old fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling, also known as Dino, is casting a shadow over the “low key” royal wedding that is scheduled for next week.
“He’s not very happy about how he’s been portrayed by Harriett and feels that she’s completely written him out of the narrative,” a source told the Daily Mail.
She has previously talked about how difficult it is to be a single mother, but over the past few years, Dino has made numerous attempts to be understanding to her and her family. However, they have turned down all of his requests for assistance.
“Harriet has landed in the big time,” the person continued. She will never again have to worry about money or paying bills because she is marrying into the royal family. For Dino, things haven’t been like that; he’s had long-term emotional and financial difficulties. She is portraying him as the antagonist, which is untrue.
Next Saturday, June 6, at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, Peter Phillips, who divorced Autumn in 2021, and Harriet Sperling will get married in a private ceremony.
Following Princess Beatrice’s marriage to businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who already had a small boy, Peter and Harriet’s union will make the Royal Family’s second “blended family.” Georgina, Harriet’s daughter, was spotted this year with Peter’s children Savannah and Isla Phillips during the royal Easter Sunday ceremony in Windsor.
There has been a lot of discussion about who won’t be at Peter and Harriet’s wedding, including Harry and Megan, Andrew and Fergie, and Harriet’s ex-husband, fitness instructor Antonio Sperling. She now believes she has the last say, but it’s incorrect to claim that Dino alone caused their marriage to fail. Saying that both of them were at fault would be more accurate.
Georgina, the couple’s 13-year-old daughter, has reportedly become close to Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, Peter’s daughters from his first marriage, which he shares with his ex-wife, Autumn Kelly.
However, according to a source, Dino hasn’t had any “meaningful” communication with Georgina in about four years.
“It’s been mental torture for him,” the person continued. Dino has made numerous attempts to improve Georgina’s relationship, but she has shown no interest.Harriet’s contribution to the dissolution of their marriage is being overlooked. For the benefit of his daughter, he has made numerous attempts at reconciliation.
However, the source disclosed that Dino is also pleased for his ex-wife despite his personal suffering.
“She’s going to be a part of one of the most powerful families in the world, and he wishes her and Peter all the best,” the person stated. However, a lot happened between them, their marriage ended extremely acrimoniously, and he still struggles with his father.
It is thought that Harriet and Dino tied the knot in 2010.
Domenico Di Martino, his 80-year-old father, previously told the Daily Mail that he had not spoken to his son for about 25 years following his divorce from both Dino’s mother Sonia and his wife.
He has never met Georgina, his grandchild, and was not invited to his and Harriet’s wedding.
“I know he got married to Harriet, but that only lasted about two years before he lost his wife and daughter,” stated Mr. Di Martino. He never really recovered from the pain of my leaving his mother; he was devastated and furious, which had an impact on his marriage. People told me that he wasn’t happy in the marriage because he wasn’t satisfied with himself, not because of Harriet. The hurt I caused him when I left his mother never went away.
However, next week’s royal event of the year is anticipated to be a beautiful occasion despite the emotional issue.
The ceremony is held in All Saints’ Church, which is located in the heart of the Cotswolds and has a spire that is visible for miles around. The church was constructed in 1824.
Just over a year after making their relationship public at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024, 48-year-old Peter Phillips and 45-year-old Harriet Sperling announced their engagement in August 2025.
Compared to Phillips’s first wedding, which took place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the nuptials at All Saints Church in Kemble next weekend are anticipated to be a more private event.

When Ms. Sperling made her carriage debut in the royal procession at Royal Ascot in June 2025, it was evident how serious their romance was.
Ms. Sperling, a devoted Christian, was raised in the Gloucestershire village of South Cerney, which is roughly fifteen minutes away from the church. Now, the pair resides in their own home on the Princess Royal’s expansive Gatcombe Park estate, which is also nearby.
According to her professional description, Ms. Sperling is “passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children thrive” and works as a children’s nurse for the NHS.
She was a member of a specialized medical team in 2010 that is credited with saving the life of a severely ill infant who had contracted a fatal infection at the age of three weeks.
In a piece she published for the Christian journal Woman Alive last year, Ms. Sperling openly discussed the challenges of raising her daughter alone while finding solace in her faith.
“This extraordinary bond between a single mother and her daughter, marked by a mix of joy, challenges, and unwavering love, is a testament to the strength of the human spirit. It’s a reminder that sometimes, when we think “we have nothing,” we actually have everything we need.” “In the laughter, tears, and quiet moments of connection, we find the essence of what it means to love and be loved unconditionally,” the author wrote.
However, acquaintances of Harriet’s ex-husband allege that he is unhappy with how their marriage ended, casting a shadow on the couple’s special day.
Compared to Peter Phillips’s first wedding, which took place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the event is anticipated to be more subdued.
Following an hour-long ceremony attended by 300 guests, including Queen Elizabeth, the pair was transported by horse-drawn carriage to Frogmore House, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would later make their home, for a reception and dancing.
Hello gave the couple £500,000! magazine for an interview and pictures before to the wedding, raising concerns in the royal community about their attempts to make money out of the occasion.
