Rebel Wilson flaunts 18kg weight loss in plunging yellow dress as she shares Instagram snaps from LA

She devotedly hit the gym daily during the coronavirus lockdown period in her native Australia.

And after returning to Los Angeles, Rebel Wilson, 40, couldn’t resist showing off her impressive 18kg weight loss as she shared a sizzling hot Instagram snap on Sunday.

The actress celebrated the city’s scorching hot 37-degree weather in a perilously plunging bright yellow dress which emphasised her slimmed-down waist. 

Rebel’s eye-catching number showed off her ample assets while the thick belt highlighted her trim midriff.

The Pitch Perfect star’s fringed blonde locks were styled in a low ponytail, and she highlighted her features with sultry eyeshadow and muted pink lipgloss.

Feeling confident in her stunning dress, Rebel also shared two other snaps to her Instagram Stories where she flirtatiously worked her angles.

Rebel shed an incredible 18kg (40lbs or 2.8 stone) since kicking off her ‘year of health’ in January.

‘Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health”,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it!’

The bubbly blonde has been sticking to a strict diet and exercise plan ever since.

Rebel revealed in May she was trying to get down to her goal weight of 75kg (165lbs or 11.8 stone).

According to People last month, Rebel’s remarkable transformation is partially down to following the Mayr Method diet plan.

A source said: ‘It’s an approach that eliminates food intolerances, reduces sugar, encourages eating whole foods slowly, boosts the immune system and reduces inflammation.

‘She exercises with a personal trainer up to six times a week, goes on walks and is trying to up her protein intake nutritionally.’

Rebel’s personal trainer, Jono Castano Acero, recently shared the star’s workout routine with E! Australia.

During a typical week, she does a combination of HIIT workouts, mobility, weights and resistance, and has just one day per week of rest.

In March, Jono told Daily Mail Australia his top tips to help people lose weight.

The Sydney-based gym buff said that people should be working out for at least 45 minutes a day to shed the kilos.
