Princess Diana’s death was “leaked through a Philippine minister.”
According to a reporter on the scene of the incident, PRINCESS DIANA’s death was leaked by a Philippine government minister.
On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales will mark the 24th anniversary of her death in a car accident in Paris.
Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed were driving home from a dinner when the deadly incident occurred about half-past midnight at the Pont de l’Alma tunnel. Historic Royal Palaces has announced special access to the princess’ statue, which was inaugurated by her sons Prince William and Prince Harry last month, to commemorate the anniversary.
The statue was commissioned by William and Harry, who were just 15 and 12 years old when their mother died, and was created by artist Ian Rank-Broadley.
The statue, which is located on Kensington Palace Gardens’ Cradle Walk, will be open to the public on August 31 from 3pm to 5pm.
The palace and its gardens are normally only open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday because to the pandemic.
Visitors will not be needed to make a reservation, but they will not be permitted to put flowers at the foot of the statue or approach it.
Diana’s death shook the globe, and her funeral in London became one of the most viewed television spectacles of all time.
Thousands of people lined the streets to pay their respects, and hundreds of bouquets were placed outside her Kensington Palace house.
Nonetheless, at the time, BBC Paris correspondent Kevin Connolly described the night as “tense,” with information difficult to obtain due to French officials’ caution.
Mr. Connolly, who was one of the first journalists on the scene after the Princess of Wales’ accident, even claimed that news of her death had reached journalists in the Philippines before it had reached journalists in France.
“The French authorities were mortified at having to deal with this,” Mr Connolly said.
“They understand the worldwide size of the reaction, and they understand the global intensity of interest.
“While Dr. Alain Pavie, France’s top cardiologist at the time, is battling to preserve [Diana’s] life, police and hospital sources claim that ‘there are injuries, but she is in excellent hands.’
“It takes a long time for a feeling of how severe this is to develop.
“In reality, Robin is informing the BBC.” Brinkwire Summary News
