Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the United Kingdom to pay a special homage to Philip in person.
According to one royal expert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be considering a travel back to the UK later this year to attend a memorial service for the late Duke of Edinburgh.
Meghan Markle has not visited British land with Prince Harry since March 2020, since she has been absent from Harry’s trips back since the couple moved to California. The Duke of Sussex has returned to the United Kingdom twice, once for the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral and again for the unveiling of a memorial statue to his late mother. On both instances, the Duchess of Sussex was pregnant with her daughter Lilibet Diana, and she was advised to avoid long-haul travel.
On the Royally US podcast, a US Weekly correspondent spoke with Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine.
“There are reports that Harry will return for the platinum jubilee, do you think Meghan will join him, and do you think the royals will welcome her back and want to have a connection with her?” asked podcast host Christina Garibaldi.
He stated, ” “If Meghan didn’t join him, I’d be surprised. I believe Harry will return before the Diamond Jubilee, which will take place in June 2022.
“I believe he’ll return before then, possibly later this year.””
The Duke of Edinburgh will be remembered at a memorial service. Only 30 people were able to attend the burial, which had been planned for 800.
“Many people will want to pay their respects to the Duke, and I believe a memorial ceremony will be arranged soon.”
“The entire Royal Family will attend, particularly Meghan and Harry, who did not attend the burial,” he stated.
Meghan stayed in California while pregnant on the recommendation of her doctor.
The couple was recently photographed in New York, where they visited the One World Trade Center Observatory and the 9/11 Memorial.
They were accompanied by Bill de Blasio, First Lady McCray, and Dante de Blasio, the mayor of New York City.
While fans were ecstatic to see the pair make their first public appearance, they were chastised for requesting seclusion from British newspapers.
“Their journey to New York was a glorified tourist vacation,” one royal expert said.
While in New York, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave a televised joint speech promoting. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
