Police action at the Pentagon: Officers rush to the Pentagon after a suspicious package is discovered in the parking lot.

A suspicious package was discovered in the Pentagon’s South parking lot, prompting police to hurry to the scene.

At around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, cops were observed swarming the premises in search of a package.

A suspicious package was discovered in the South parking lot, according to the Pentagon Protection Agency.

“The area was immediately sealed off, and all vehicular and pedestrian movement was prohibited,” police said.

The package, however, was subsequently determined to be harmless.

The item is currently being investigated by police, and the Pentagon is no longer under threat.

Several police vans and ambulances with lights on were on the scene. Yellow police tape was also used to cordon off the area.

The bus route near the political center was instantly rerouted, but it was quickly re-established.

It’s unknown whether staff were there when the object was discovered.
