Pitch perfect: A dog’s scream accompanied by a violin has gone popular on TikTok.

THOUSANDS of TikTok users have seen a musical duet involving a violinist and a dog singing along in tune.

Nathan Olsen, co-concert master of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in the United States, begins to play a somber melody on his violin. While the music is playing, Nikolas the Border Collie leans back and lets out a powerful, low scream that precisely fits the violin’s pitch and speed.

Nikolas wags his tail as the brief performance comes to an end, clearly pleased with how his opera singing went.

At the end of the video, an on-screen caption emerges, with Nathan jokingly asking, “What instruments are missing from this ensemble?”

Several dog owners have responded to the violinist’s question on social media, with many four-legged sopranos, tenors, and baritones demonstrating their pets’ musical abilities.

However, on the social media sharing platform TikTok, a singing Border Collie has become the main attraction.

Julia, Nikolas’ owner, released a Pavorotti-like performance of her pet titled “doggo’s lament” under the username @julia.szypulska.

After just over three weeks, the duet has received over 86,000 views and 16,100 likes.

Hundreds of TikTokers have posted lovely comments in the comment box, expressing their amazement and admiration for the video.

“This is the only duet I’ve seen that sounds good enough to trick others into thinking this is a legitimate piece,” one viewer commented.

“I’m not going to lie, I’d listen to this entire album on repeat,” another TikTok user said.

One spectator who was blown away by the canine’s abilities exclaimed, “Give this dog an opera chorus contract!”
