Piers Morgan is furious with Meghan after she “trashed” the Queen’s heartbreaking year, calling it “disgraceful.”
PIERS MORGAN has resorted to social media to express her displeasure with Meghan Markle’s treatment of the Queen following the death of her husband, Prince Phillip, after 73 years of marriage.
Piers Morgan, the former host of Good Morning Britain, has turned to Twitter to express his displeasure with Meghan Markle’s treatment of the Queen following the monarch’s “heartbreaking year.” The ITV host lashed back at those pleading with him to consider the former Suits actress’ mental health, calling the Duchess of Sussex’s “trashing” of her family “disgraceful.”
It’s a disgrace.
Piers Morgan is a British journalist.
Piers didn’t hold back when he lambasted the former senior member of the Royal Family in front of his 7.9 million followers.
“Has anyone given a consideration for what the Queen has had to undergo this year as the Sussexes have repeatedly attacked her family & the Monarchy as she lost and mourned her beloved husband of 73 years, amid all the controversy about Meghan Markle’s mental health?” he said.
He ended with, “Just disgraceful.”
Piers’ remark was accompanied by a sorrowful photo of the Queen sitting alone at Prince Phillip’s burial, where social distance regulations were observed.
Prince Phillip passed away in April at the age of 99.
The entire world watched his burial, which Prince Harry attended alone after flying back from his residence in Montecito, California.
The sorrowful image of the Queen sitting alone inside St George’s Chapel, surrounded by members of her family, was shown to viewers.
Harry and Meghan had given Oprah Winfrey a candid interview a month prior, revealing their intention to leave the royal family.
Meghan said that as a senior member of the palace, she struggled with her mental health, and that an anonymous royal made a racial remark about Archie before his birth.
Piers slammed the Duchess live on GMB after the interview, stating, “I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said… If she read me a weather report, I wouldn’t trust it.”
He then got into an argument with ITV weather reporter Alex Beresford about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s remarks, storming off the set.
ITV issued a statement hours later confirming the presenter’s departure from the show, which he has co-hosted with Susanna Reid for six years.
Ofcom received a “Brinkwire Summary News” following Piers’ comments.
