A CHILDREN’S CANCER CHARITY TRUSTEE is the second body discovered in a suspected murder-suicide in Kettering, according to reports.

Ben Green, 41, and his girlfriend, Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, 22, were discovered dead at his home in Northamptonshire on Friday. Mr. Green was a businessman and a trustee of Team Mikayla, a cancer charity.

Alumasc’s non-executive chairman, John McCall, confirmed his death but declined to comment further.

“It is a purely private affair, and I have no intention of making any comment,” he told MailOnline.

“There will be a lot of sadness among the families.”

Police discovered Ms Durdant-Hollamby on Friday after receiving a report of concern for her safety.

Police said her death was being investigated as a homicide, but that no arrests had been made and that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with their investigation.

“This case is particularly terrible, and our team has been working over the past 48 hours to discover the events that led to the deaths of these two people,” said senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Nicole Main.

“Maddie Durdant-Hollamby was a young woman with a bright future ahead of her, and we’re doing everything we can to help her family as we seek to find answers to their questions about how she died.

“At this time, our investigation has revealed no known history of domestic abuse in this case, but we continue to urge anyone with information that may be pertinent to our inquiry to contact us as soon as possible.”

“We are terribly grieved by the loss of Maddie, our lovely daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece,” Ms Durdant-family Hollamby’s said in a statement.

“Our hearts have been broken, and we can’t picture living without her. The shock and anguish we’re experiencing are unspeakable.

“She was a stunning woman on the inside and out who cherished spending time with her family and friends.

“Maddie was a sweet, compassionate, and considerate young woman who left an indelible impression on everyone she met.

“She was a gifted dancer, and her creative abilities followed her through school and into her marketing profession. Her life was tragically cut short just as her career was beginning to take off.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who knew and loved Maddie as much as we did.”

Her mother paid a heartfelt tribute to her daughter on Facebook after her death.

“Brinkwire Summary News,” it read.
