Parents make fun of an 11-year-old girl for wearing a suit to her school prom.
A 11-year-old girl was insulted by her heartless parents after she donned a suit to her school prom.
Mischa Parker chose her outfit for the reception on Friday to reflect her “individuality.” At Fountain Primary School in Morley, Leeds, she overheard several chaperoning parents laughing and calling her “suit girl.”
Mischa was so disturbed by the derogatory remarks that she called her mother, Tamara Auty, 33, and requested her to bring her up early.
“I think that was an attack on her individuality,” Tamara told Hull Live. “I work in mental health myself, and I just thought it was really disgusting.”
“I had no idea who I was when I was 11 years old, but Mischa has always known who she is and what she likes.”
After trying on the boys’ elegant black dinner jacket with matching trousers and bow tie in an H&M store last week, Mischa chose it.
Her mother adds, “She felt a little anxious, hoping no one would laugh at her.”
“I simply believe that children should be able to express themselves; why should my daughter be made to feel guilty about her choice of clothing?
“Why would you want to knock down a child for that?”
I simply believe that children should be free to express themselves; why should my daughter be forced to feel bad about her personal style?

Tamara, who also has a nine-year-old son, said her daughter looked “absolutely wonderful and stylish,” but was disappointed by others’ reactions.
“She did end up going into the boys’ department and getting a dickie bow because they fitted her a bit better,” the mother, who works as a support worker, said.
“She knew she’d be wearing a suit if she went to any gathering.
“She looked incredibly stunning and fashionable.
“I’d straightened her hair for her, she’d put a little mascara on, her nails were painted black, and she usually doesn’t bother with cosmetics or hair.
“She was a little anxious at first, but she felt great and loved the costume.
“She had lately been knocked down in terms of confidence, so wearing the suit was a major deal for her because she despises dresses and isn’t a feminine girl.”
Tamara’s Morley family thought she looked fantastic, and she received a lot of attention from her friends.
“They were all her friends.” Brinkwire Summary News.
