GAZA, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) — A Palestinian died Friday of bullet wounds he received earlier Friday in the clashes that erupted in eastern Gaza Strip between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian protesters, medics said.
Ashraf al Qedra, spokesman of the Gaza Health Ministry, said in a statement that 28-year-old Rami Qahman was shot in the neck by Israeli gunfire during the anti-Israel protests in Rafah town of Gaza Strip, close to the border with Israel.
He added that the clashes left 37 protesters wounded.
Al-Qedra said since the outbreak of the anti-Israel marches of return on March 30, the Israeli army has shot dead 222 Palestinians and wounded around 24,000 others.
“The marches of return will continue until it achieves its goals of the complete lifting of the unfair siege,” said Hamas spokesman Abdulatif al-Qanou’a in a statement.
