A man who allegedly believed he was grooming a teenage girl online before arranging to meet has been charged on the NSW Central Coast.
Child abuse and sex crime squad detectives last month began talking to the 40-year-old Lake Macquarie resident, who believed he was engaging a 14-year-old girl.
The man allegedly arranged to meet up with the teenager after discussing sexual acts he wished her to perform and sending explicit material.
He was arrested at a Mannering Park business on Tuesday and charged with using a carriage service to procure a child under 16 years for sexual activity.
The man was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on Wednesday.
