North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is ‘looking gaunt,’ according to a health update obtained by spies.
South Korean intelligence specialists claim that Kim Jong-un has lost weight by following a stringent new diet.
According to South Korean spies, the North Korean leader has dropped a significant amount of weight, but he appeared considerably lighter last month as the country faces a worsening famine. Kim Jong-health un’s has been put in jeopardy due to his grueling diet. The authoritarian leader had faded from view, only to reap again in recent weeks, looking as if he had lost a significant amount of weight.
South Korean spies now claim that the tyrannical tyrant was on his way back from a secret fitness retreat.
According to NK News, the tyrant has shed up to 20kg thus far, according to the National Intelligence Service from beyond the border.
Kim has “recently shed roughly 10 to 20 kg of weight,” according to Korean intelligence.
He “is currently doing normal governance activities,” according to the article.
Since taking power after his father’s death in 2011, the North Korean leader has slowly gained weight.
He had a reputation for eating a high-calorie, high-luxury diet.
There was a lot of Swiss cheese, caviar, lobster, and wine on this diet.
He is said to be a heavy smoker, which adds to his health difficulties.
Now, footage from Pyongyang’s official KCNA news agency shows him appearing much thinner, raising fears that he is ill.
His “emaciated” condition was even discussed on the state-run news station.
This could, however, be to ease tensions in a country that has recently been hit by a famine.
“Seeing esteemed general secretary Kim Jong-un appearing thin crushes our people’s hearts so much,” an unnamed Pyongyang man was reported as saying in Korea official news report.
“Everyone says their eyes welled up with tears.”
According to South Korean reports, when the North Korean leader was at his heaviest last year, he weighed roughly 22 stone.
There is no information on how he lost weight, but Pyongyang is exploiting his new slimmer appearance to demonstrate that he is a “devoted, diligent” leader in the midst of the country’s food crisis.
North Korean defector Ahn Chan-il previously told the Daily Mirror: “The message Pyongyang is giving is that Kim is a leader who works very hard for his people, even to the point of skipping meals and losing weight.”
