In a webcast on Sunday night, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown criticised the NBA and its officiating in great detail.
One day after Brown and the Celtics were ousted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs, the stream was aired on the Twitch site.
Joel Embiid led the Sixers to a 109-100 victory with 34 points and 12 rebounds.
Brown claims that the officials bought it wholeheartedly and that Embiid fabricated some of the contacts he got.
Brown stated on the webcast, “I mean, this is my personal opinion on basketball.” You understand what I mean when I say that some of you may disagree. However, disagree with your grandmother. Our game has been damaged by flopping.
Brown went on, “Embiid is a fantastic player, one of the best bigs in f***in basketball history, flops.” “He is aware of it.” It’s not breaking news.

“Our league has been wrecked by flopping. Despite being one of the best basketball players in history, Joel Embiid struggles. He is also aware of it.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics feels that officials were biased against him throughout the postseason.
Brown claimed that basketball has been damaged by flopping in a tirade on his Twitch channel.
Additionally, he attacked Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, calling him “flops” without warning.
Additionally, Brown thinks that some retaliatory officiating may have resulted from his earlier remarks during the regular season that were critical of officials.
“Why are you focusing on me?” “They obviously had a plan,” he remarked. Perhaps since I spoke, I criticised the referees during the regular season.
You know how they reacted, then? “You’re going to lead the playoffs in offensive fouls—we’re going to call every single one.”” The officiating crew responded as follows: “You could tell.” It was an agenda before every game, according to some referees I spoke with. “Just call it when Jaylen raises his arm due to his notoriety.”
The officials’ propensity to call those push-off plays on Brown but not others, like New York Knicks player Jalen Brunson or 76ers star Paul George, infuriated Brown.
“Whether you believe it or not, it’s a basketball play,” Brown remarked. When driving, everyone does that, particularly when there are other people on the road. However, Philly exploited both the officiating and the situation.
To some extent, it cost us. I’ve been doing that without any issues during the regular season. Suddenly, it’s always an offensive foul. Maintain the same level of enthusiasm for everyone else. All I have to say is that.
In the close defeat, Brown finished with 33 points and nine rebounds.
Brown received ten offensive fouls in the opening round, more than twice as much as the next-highest player.
During the regular season, Brown received 40 offensive fouls, second only to Karl-Anthony Towns of the Knicks in the NBA.
Brown scored 33 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the Celtics’ season-ending loss.
He finished fourth in the league this season with an average of 28.7 points per game.
