The Cambridges are currently based in Kensington Palace in London and Anmer Hall on Her Majesty’s Sandringham Estate.
However, the family may have had some challenges due to the distance between their homes.
“Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia, and it was useful for Christmases in Sandringham, but it doesn’t really function anymore,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.
“For weekends, it’s a little too far away, but Windsor is a great balance.
“They’re looking into several choices in the area.”
The Cambridges are rumored to be considering moving to Fort Belvedere.
From 1929 until his abdication, Edward, Prince of Wales lived in Fort Belvedere.
The fort was chosen as the final location for Edward’s abdication as King.
Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their son August are currently residing at Frogmore Cottage.
