‘Nasty people’ send 200 death threats per day to Jack Grealish’s girlfriend.
Sasha Attwood, JACK Grealish’s girlfriend, has spoken out after receiving hundreds of death threats during Euro 2020.
As her partner Jack Grealish became one of England’s major players during Euro 2020, model Sasha Attwood, 25, received terrible abuse from social media trolls. Ms. Attwood claims that she receives 200 death threats every day on TikTok and Instagram, with many of the trolls being as young as 13 or 14.
Ms Attwood, who has been in a relationship with Grealish since she was 16, claimed on her YouTube channel: “I was getting 200 death threats a day.” When I say that, I am not exaggerating. They said things like, “I hope you get cancer and die,” “I hope your whole family dies,” and “I hope you crash your car and die the next time you get in it.”
“Every day, I received so many texts. They still come in all day, every day.
“Things have obviously blown up during the Euros, but I never imagined things would get this terrible in a million years. It absolutely astounds me how vicious individuals can be for no apparent reason.”
Ms. Attwood continued by expressing her surprise at how young some of the trolls were. “I’d go on these girls’ profiles who have sent me stuff and they’re 13 or 14,” she continued. It’s heartbreaking. I try to blame it on my age, but I don’t recall ever sending a message like that when I was that age.
“I think social media is quite toxic, and it’s really terrible that these generations have grown up believing it’s acceptable to say things like that.
“Why, what are you getting out of it if you go out of your way to create a phony account or send a horrific message, wishing someone was dead or commenting about their appearance, or talking about their personal life?”
According to the Sun, Instagram has initiated an investigation into Ms Attwood’s remarks and has stated that it is “dedicated” to making the platform safe for all users.
“No one should have to face abuse or harassment, and we don’t want it on Instagram,” an Instagram spokeswoman stated.
“We encourage people to use Hidden Words, a technique that prevents abuse from being seen by others.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
