Zara Tindall’s husband spoke out about their son Lucas and Princess Eugenie’s son August being christened on Sunday, saying he had a “great weekend.”
Mike Tindall revealed some details about Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall’s sons’ double royal christening.
The Queen was present at the ceremony, which included the baptism of Euegenie’s son August and Zara’s son Lucas at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.
Former rugby player Mike revealed on his podcast, The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby, that everyone who attended had a “lovely day,” according to the Daily Mirror.
“I had a great weekend, a great few days,” he said to co-host Alex Payne.
On Sunday, we had a lovely christening.
“What a beautiful day.”
Alex then inquired of Mike whether or not young Lucas had enjoyed his baptismal dunk in holy water.
“He did, actually,” Mike revealed.
I took him swimming in the morning, and I think I prepared him for it because he was very excited.”
Following a string of public appearances in recent weeks, the Queen attended the christening ceremony on Sunday.

Her vibrant lime green hat was visible as she was ferried away from the Berkshire chapel.
Canon Martin Poll, the chaplain of Great Windsor Park, officiated at the christening, which took place in the Royal Lodge house’s private Grade-II listed church.
It is believed to be the first time two royal babies were christened at the same time.
Eugenie wore a silk white gown with embroidered detail, a headband, and a blue pendant necklace, while Jack Brooksbank dressed in a navy suit, crisp white shirt, and light blue patterned tie.
Zara drove herself to the venue in a black outfit with dangling pearl earrings, while Mike arrived in a separate vehicle dressed in a blazer.
