Meghan pulls the rug out from under Harry in preparation for a Netflix project that was planned YEARS ago.
MEGHAN MARKLE has snubbed Prince Harry’s allegation that partnering with Netflix was “never part of the plan,” revealing that her new animated TV series was in the works years ago.
The Duchess of Sussex announced last week that she will be producing a new Netflix animated series called Pearl. The family-friendly show will follow a 12-year-old girl as she embarks on “heroic escapades” while being inspired by historical figures. Despite the fact that the announcement was only disclosed a few days ago, it has now been revealed that the production has been in the works for years, with Meghan first speaking with Netflix three years ago.
According to the Telegraph, the new animated series has been in the works for years as part of the couple’s multi-million dollar arrangement with Netflix.
This contradicts Harry’s statement that securing rich advertising partnerships was “never the plan.”
“We didn’t have a plan,” the Duke said to Oprah Winfrey during their two-hour chat.
“That was proposed by someone else by the time where my family cut me off financially, and I had to pay for our security.”
“We hadn’t considered it…,” he added. There were numerous possibilities available.
“And, look, all I needed from my perspective was enough money to pay for security to keep my family safe.”
Meghan and Harry’s staff, on the other hand, has stated that any talks with Netflix in 2018 were only regarding the Pearl project.
As a working royal, the animated series was originally simply one of many “one-off creative advocacy initiatives” brought to the Duchess.
She also worked on the Together cookbook, which raised money for the victims of the Grenfell Tower catastrophe, and the September issue of Vogue magazine, which she edited in 2019.
Sir Elton John’s husband, David Furnish, will also serve as an executive producer on the project.
Pearl was a long time in the making, according to the Canadian filmmaker, who is a longtime friend of the Sussexes.
He expressed his excitement in being able to “finally introduce this fantastic animated series” in a statement.
Former US President John F Kennedy inspired Prince William’s current project, according to him.
The Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony will be hosted by the Duke of Cambridge, who hopes it will become the “Nobel Prize of the environmental world.”
The ten-year project will include “some of the world’s.” Brinkwire Summary News
