Archewell Productions announced on Wednesday that the Duchess of Sussex would be creating a new animated series. Pearl, named after the titular heroine, will follow a 12-year-old girl on a journey of self-discovery. “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she struggles to conquer life’s daily challenges,” Meghan said in a statement.
She went on to say how excited she was to be a part of the series, which will “honor remarkable women throughout history.”
The news sparked a social media frenzy, with admirers rushing to share their reactions to the news.
