Meghan and Harry’s ‘unsettling’ Royal Family narrative prompted Kate to ‘counteract’ it.

A royal author claims that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband William’s “wholesome brand” is “needed to counter Meghan and Harry.”

Due to a combination of Covid, an aging royal generation, and the departure of senior royals such as Meghan Markle, 40, and Prince Harry, 37, some members of the Firm have been performing engagements that would normally be performed by others.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who turns 40 today, has been praised for stepping up to the plate in the past year by taking on additional responsibilities and tackling some high-profile projects and campaigns.

Despite the year’s challenges, Kate attended a significant number of royal engagements last year, totaling 115, just one fewer than the year before.

Many of these she did with her 39-year-old husband, Prince William, while the Queen was ill for the latter half of the year.

In addition to the pandemic’s disruption, Prince Philip, the Queen’s husband, died in 2021, and the number of working royals decreased.

Meghan and Harry, along with their two children Archie, two, and Lilibet, six months, left the Firm to pursue a “financially independent” life in the United States.

In addition, Prince Andrew, the Queen’s second son, has stepped down from his duties due to his ongoing civil case with Virginia Giuffre.

William and Kate have a “stable and wholesome brand persona,” according to Cele Otnes, a co-author of Royal Fever, which she claims is in stark contrast to the Sussexes’.

Cele, a Royal Family branding expert, adds that Kate and William’s “steadying force” contrasts with other scandals involving the Firm, such as Prince Andrew’s high-profile civil suit and Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down from duties.

Following their departure from the Firm, the couple relocated to the United States, where they participated in an Oprah interview in which they made a series of explosive claims about their time there.

The Queen responded to the interview by saying that the family was “saddened” to hear of Meghan and Harry’s difficulties, and that while “some recollection may vary,” the allegations were “taken very seriously” and would be “addressed by the family privately.”

Cele claims that the Cambridge family’s “persona” – which includes Kate, Prince William, and their three children – helps.
