Meghan and Harry savaged over Netflix deal on Royal Family LIVE: ‘Not set Hollywood on fire.’
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry have yet to release content for their Netflix partnership, and according to a royal expert, their proposed projects “don’t exactly sound like they’ll set viewers or Hollywood on fire.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a number of lucrative contracts with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify since leaving the Royal Family.
Their Netflix deal was announced in September 2020, but royal expert Daniela Elser writes in the New Zealand Herald that the couple has yet to deliver content “more than 14 months” later.
“They loftily promised they would make’content that informs but also gives hope’ more than 14 months ago, in September 2020, when their money-making marriage with streaming was first revealed,” she wrote.
So, where is it?” says the narrator.
Harry and Meghan have announced two projects for their Netflix partnership: Pearl, a children’s animation, and a documentary about the Invictus Games, a charity sporting event for veterans that Harry founded.
Ms Elser, on the other hand, believes that while the content may be “touching and powerful,” it may not have an impact on audiences.
“These could both be touching and powerful shows,” she wrote, “but they don’t exactly sound like they’ll set viewers or Hollywood on fire.”
She does point out, however, that the delay could be due to the time it takes to produce high-quality television and documentaries, which is a situation made even more difficult by the pandemic.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s representatives were contacted for comment.

The Duchess is one of the “most influential women on the planet when it comes to style,” according to a spokesperson for Longevita, the company that commissioned the study.
Her hairstyle is described as “timeless,” “elegant,” and “simple” by the spokesperson.
The pictures of the red, one-shouldered satin dress also resulted in a 376 percent increase in searches for “red dress.”
