MAURIZIO SARRI is known to like a cigarette.
Sarri used to enjoy a puff on the touchline while managing former club Napoli.
However smoking cigarettes inside stadiums in the UK is banned – meaning the Italian has been forced into an alternative.
And it appears he’s adopted an unusual method of getting his nicotine hit during today’s Premier League clash at Huddersfield.
Pictures taken at the John Smith’s Stadium seem to show Sarri with a cigarette butt in his mouth.
Fans on Twitter enjoyed reacting to the images of Sarri.
One wrote: “Maurizio Sarri chewing a cigarette on the bench because you can’t smoke in English football grounds, already my favourite manager.”
Meanwhile the Twitter account of BBC show Match of the Day posted: “You eat them now, Maurizio?!”
“Looks like he swallows them!!” added another Chelsea fan.
Sarri didn’t get off to a great start as Chelsea boss after his side were easily brushed aside by Manchester City in the Community Shield last week.
Sergio Aguero netted a double as the defending champions saw off the FA Cup winners at Wembley.
But things went far smoother for Chelsea today, with the Blues racing into a 2-0 half-time lead against Huddersfield.
N’Golo Kante got the first with a rare strike, with summer signing Jorginho adding the second from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time.
Pedro then added a third after the break.
Chelsea are likely to face a tougher test next week when they tackle London rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday (5.30pm).
