Man Utd star Rashford scores vs Perth Glory – but everyone is talking about Pogba

MANCHESTER UNITED star Marcus Rashford has scored the first goal of the season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – but why is everyone talking about Paul Pogba?

United are in Australia as part of their pre-season training as Solskjaer gears them up for the new campaign.

The Norwegian has put the players through a gruelling fitness regime in a bid to get strong and ready.

Upon his arrival, Solskjaer and Mike Phelan were said to be shocked by the state of the side’s fitness levels

But the Red Devils have been putting their new work into practice against Perth Glory in their first match of their tour.

An uneventful first half went by before Rashford netted in the second, 30 minutes before full-time.

The Englishman spun on the ball before firing into the corner with his left foot.

But it was Pogba that drew the attention on social media for a remarkable piece of play to set Rashford up.

As the ball fell to the Frenchman, in a flash of brilliance, the midfielder played a silky flick to put Rashford through.

And fans were left gobsmacked on Twitter, with one saying: “This is why we can’t let Pogba leave Utd. He carries us.”

Another said: “That flick from Pogba was very nice and a sweet finish from Rashford, United’s tour up and running.”

While this fan said: “We are such a different team with Pogba involved. So unbelievably good man.”

Pogba was thrown on at half-time as Solskjaer rang the changes, while new boy Aaron Wan-Bissaka was also given his debut.

However, the £89m man has been linked with a move away after his agent Mino Raiola stated that his client wants out.

And fans were taking aim at others who wanted the World Cup winner out of the squad.

One said: “how people want pogba out i dont know…”

Whilst another tweeted: “Putting pride aside pls pogba can’t leave united or else we are doomed.. we should even beg for his forgiveness.”
