Married At First Sight stars Jules Robinson, 37, and Cameron Merchant, 35, starred on Channel Nine’s biggest show of the year.
And it appears the reality TV couple are relishing in their newfound fame after scoring invitations to this year’s Logie Awards on the Gold Coast.
On Sunday, Jules and Cam behaved like Hollywood royalty as they bragged about their extensive red carpet preparation in a cringeworthy interview on Weekend Today.
Channel Nine hosts David Campbell and Allison Langdon looked stunned as the attention-loving couple detailed their extensive Logies preparation.
Arriving on Friday for the pre-Logie Award festivities, the awkward segment began with David asking them how they are spending their time on the Gold Coast.
‘We got here on Friday night. So we did Stars on the Park on Friday,’ Jules said boastfully.
‘We weren’t invited to that,’ David replied.
The interview continued with Jules and Cam boasting about their designer outfits, which were handpicked by a stylist.
‘Yes. Tonight I’ve had the fabulous Donny Galella help style me. And [designer] Nicky Velani has made my dress, like custom made,’ Jules said.
The TV star then compared Cameron’s look to fictitious UK spy James Bond, with Cameron appearing to agree with the reference.
‘[Designer] Alex Goodman has got me James Bond 007 ready for the red carpet,’ the former Manly cricketer laughed.
Cam then told David: ‘I actually channelled something from you last year. You were in a good state,’ with David appearing a little shocked.
Turning their attention to the actual awards show, Jules didn’t appear to hesitate when asked if the show would take home a coveted Logie.
‘Looking at the stats, it’s the most popular show in Australia,’ she said, ‘If people vote for it, hopefully, I mean we have a good chance.’
Jules continued: ‘I think it entertained everyone didn’t it. I think it’s worthy of a Logie,’ to which Cam appeared to agree.
Earlier this week, the couple have shared a number of offbeat posts about their star-studded experience.
Jules has been sharing snaps of herself with younger fans, with them also doing shout outs to their Belgian fans.
The pair have also shared sponsored posts for skin cream in clearly set-up behind-the-scenes style shots.
