MADONNA fans are convinced that she wants Julia Warner to play her in an upcoming rumoured biopic after she started following the actress on Instagram.
Madonna, 62, has 15.5 million followers on the social media site but only follows a lucky 287 users.
And the Ozark actress is one of the lucky few after the queen of pop became Insta friends with her.
Madonna’s longtime manager Guy Oseary, also followed the 26-year-old star on the same day, prompting further speculation.
Julia, who is from The Bronx, New York, is best known for playing the role of Ruth Langmore in the hit Netflix series Ozark.
Earlier this week, Madonna revealed that she needed a “s**t hot’ casting director” as she spoke about who would play who in the film, saying: “How are we going to cast this thing?”
Posting a video of herself and Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody sat on a sofa together, the Ray of Light singer said: “Y’know go home and write a story about you life, see how that makes you feel.”
Diablo replied: “Anyone can do it!” to which Madonna answered: “Sure,” before starting to sing: “Will the studios love it? Will the studios love it?”
The mum-of-six then suggested they “make a musical instead,” as Diablo can be heard saying: “Please no!”
Madonna later added: “I’m exhausted. I’m emotionally and physically exhausted,” before saying: “It’s gonna be very challenging to cast this.”
Diablo then asked her: “Yeah how are we gonna do that?” to which Madge replied: “Get a s**t hot casting director.”
But perhaps the singer decided to take matters into her own hands by following Julia on Instagram.
The US actress certainly bears a striking resemblance to a younger Madonna, thanks to her short, curly blonde hair and petite frame.
Julia’s portrayal of Ruth in Ozark has catapulted her to fame in the last few years, and she’s been nominated for another Emmy Award this year for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.
Julia won the same accolade back in 2019 and will no doubt scoop it again in September thanks to the success of Ozark season three.
She has also starred in Dirty John, Waco, and Maniac.
