LUCIFER star Tom Ellis has revealed he hasn’t seen his children in SEVEN months after the coronavirus pandemic trapped him in LA.
The 41-year-old has three daughters; Nora, 15, from his relationship with Estelle Morgan and then Florence, 12, and Marnie, eight, with ex Tamzin Outhwaite, who he split from in 2014.
And like many, Tom is feeling the fallout from the ongoing global health pandemic as it has stopped him travelling to see his girls.
The Miranda actor was filming the fifth season of his hit Netflix series when production was shut down and the stay-at-home order was given in California.
Speaking to The Guardian, Tom explained: “It’s been excruciating. There is a part of you that isn’t there when they’re not around.”
“I don’t ever really want to be in that headspace ever again.
“Trying to remain positive while the world is falling apart and having your children away from you and not knowing you will see them was just…Yeah.”
The publication added that the Netflix star was preparing to fly back to the UK “for a long-awaited reunion” with his girls, who he was originally scheduled to visit after filming wrapped.
Tom shares custody of his daughters with former EastEnders star Tamzin, who he married in 2006.
Their marriage ended after Ellis reportedly confessed to cheating on her with a co-star in 2013, with reports claiming it was a one night stand.
He moved out of the house he shared with the star in 2014 weeks after coming clean.
Tamzin, who is in a relationship with Tom Child, 28, later hinted there was more to story.
She told Essentials Magazine: “I wouldn’t not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I’ll say.”
Actor Tom has since moved on with writer Meaghan Oppenheimer and lives in Los Angeles.
The couple tied the knot in Happy Canyon, in the Santa Ynez Valley, California, in June after four years of dating.
