Lord Heseltine has been chastised for using a question about Boris Johnson’s polling to criticize the Brexit process.

LORD Heseltine slammed Boris Johnson’s referendum forecasts as a “pack of lies” in a blistering anti-Brexit tirade.

Lord Heseltine slammed the government’s promises, claiming that the British people were “told a pack of lies” about the benefits of Brexit because the government couldn’t keep all of its promises.

Lord Heseltine sparked a furious reaction from LBC viewers when he turned his discussion on Boris Johnson’s polling data into his latest attempt to bash Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union.

“Lord Frost’s resignation blows the Brexit story, we’ve had five years to prepare,” Lord Heseltine told LBC.

“And the first appointment, quite rightly, placed ardent Brexiteers David Davis and Liam Fox in senior government positions.”

“And now it’s been five years, and we’ve had the Brexit referendum and the General Election.”

“And you have Lord Frost resigning, claiming that we are not carrying out the agenda that was promised.”

“He’s quite right,” Lord Heseltine continued, “but why is he right, why aren’t we doing it? Because the agenda isn’t deliverable.”

“And that’s why public opinion polls clearly show that the public now realizes they’ve been duped.”

“They were told a bunch of lies about the benefits of Brexit, and the government will not be able to deliver on its promises,” he said.

“Be that as it may, Lord Heseltine, where do they go now? Where does the Cabinet go now if it wants to win back those voters who they’ve lost?” LBC host Andrew Pierce said.

“I mean, as you know, all governments have mid-term problems, and this government has been in power for two years, or you could argue, 11 years.”

“Well, let’s talk about the real issue, which is Brexit, which they promised,” Lord Heseltine said.

“And Lord Frost’s resignation is based on the fact that they should be carrying them out but aren’t.

Twitter users reacted to Lord Heseltine’s comments on LBC on the social media platform.

“Of course, and obviously Europe doing so much better than us?” said another user, @PaulBrianKopp2.

On the subject of Brexit, only time will tell.

“It’s odd, isn’t it?”

“News from the Brinkwire.”
