LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER CITY: Champions Manchester City take on Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday.
Pep Guardiola is lauded as one of the greatest managers of all time, and his career to date speaks for itself.
But research by Betting Expert shows that he has two Achilles heels – and faces both this Sunday.
That’s because Jurgen Klopp is the manager that Guardiola has the worst points-per-game record against, and Liverpool are the club that he has the worst points-per-game record against!
Guardiola averages just 0.67 points-per-game from six meetings with the Reds – having won just once – although that was a 5-0 victory last September.
And in 14 games against Klopp – several of which were from when he was Bayern Munich boss taking on the German’s Borussia Dortmund side – he only has 1.14 points per game, and a win ratio of 35.71%.
In the last three meetings between Guardiola and Klopp, the German has won all three times.
The first of those was a thrilling 4-3 victory at Anfield in January, a result that ended Guardiola’s hopes of going a whole Premier League season unbeaten.
That was followed by two Champions League quarter-final clashes, with the Reds winning 3-0 at Anfield and then 2-1 at the Etihad.
