Life after death: A woman remembers the moment when her life flashed before her eyes after a near-death experience.
After suffering a life-threatening seizure, LIFE AFTER DEATH researchers revealed the experience of a lady who claims to have seen scenes from her life play out before her eyes.
The woman, who goes by the name Rebekah, claims to have been on the verge of death late last year after a long fight with seizures. Rebekah told the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF), which analyzes accounts of life after death encounters, about her near-death experience. Rebekah testified that she collapsed to the ground after experiencing excruciating agony in her left arm.
“I was on the ground instead of the couch and couldn’t move,” she explained.
“My body began to feel cold as I pondered the question, ‘Am I dying?’
“I saw myself on the ground, and the laptop cord was practically wrapped around my neck,” she says.
Rebekah was then overcome with a sense of flight, reporting she felt as if she had been snatched from the ground by an eagle.
She claimed to have seen the clouds part and reveal a beautiful green landscape in front of her.
“I just knew and felt a sense of calm and contentment like I had never felt before,” she stated.
Darkness fell over the area, but Rebekah could still see a light.
She saw “things I had done in my life” as well as scenes of things she had never done but always wanted to do during this stage of her near-death experience (NDE).
“Then my daughter appeared in front of me, and I considered the consequences of going to the light,” Rebekah explained.
“I knew she’d never forgive herself if she found out she was responsible for my death.
“I realized I needed to get back in touch with my body. I had to return by concentrating on the ache in my arm.”
Rebekah lived to tell the tale, and though she hasn’t told many people about it, she claims it has forever impacted her life.
Medical experts, on the other hand, are hesitant to believe the claim at its value.
Experts agree that near-death experiences can have a profound and long-lasting impact on people, but many do not believe they constitute evidence of paranormal or supernatural events.
A variety of theories have been proposed in an attempt to explain why people may have such visions and recollections during a traumatic event.
