A new leak about LG’s upcoming handset reveals that it has a quad-camera setup, quad-microphones and a huge battery meant to allow users to keep calling, browsing, and snapping photos longer.
Images leaked by noted tipster Evan Blass shows the unannounced LG V60 ThinQ in translucent renders. Blass noted that the renders do not represent actual images (i.e. the device is not translucent), but they do reveal a few key specs that fans might want to know.
First, the images reveal that the upcoming handset appears to have a quad-camera setup in a horizontal camera module near the top of the phone’s rear side. Specific details about each sensor remain unknown, however. Android Police noted that the device could possibly have an ultra-wide, wide and telephoto lens.
Second, the device will also have four microphones that will likely allow the V60 ThinQ to record accurate audio, whether it is recording videos or just plain sound. XDA Developers’ Mishaal Rahman said “LG has always been pretty good about audio, so that’s a good possibility.”
Third, the device has a huge 5,000 mAh battery. The images do not specifically reveal how this translates to talk time, browse time and so on, but it is indeed bigger than the batteries in some flagships to date. Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, for example, both have 4,500 mAh batteries each.
Fourth, one of the images reveal that the upcoming handset will feature a USB Type-C port, flanked by one downward-firing speaker on one side, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the other side. The latter sounds like good news for those who have already invested in wired headphones and prefer to use wired audio connections than not.
The images also indicate that the device could have the following features, as per XDA Developers.
LG hasn’t confirmed any of the details about the V60 ThinQ in this leak. Stay tuned for more details as they come.
