Now that officially licensed Baby Yoda merch is making its way onto the market, Lego fans could see the little green one make his Brickhedz debut.
According to a Brick Fanatics source, a creepy-looking Baby Yoda Brickheadz figure is on the way – nothing against the adorably Baby Yoda; all Brickheadz are equally gross and ugly, and I doubt he’ll be an exception. He’s reported to be launching later this year, which wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given that the official merch is taking an age to come out.
There have been bootleg Baby Yodas plenty since The Mandalorian aired, but Disney was slow to follow suit with official goodies because it didn’t want to spoil the surprise. The first dribs and drabs of officially licensed knick knacks saw boring old t-shirts, mugs, and the like roll out. It’s since announced the impending release of Funko Pop figures, Hasbro toys, a Build-A-Bear, and its own plushies – none of which are available until spring at the earliest. Truly, a bloody stupid decision.
Since it’s started announcing pre-orders for the toys, Disney has been going after Etsy sellers, picking off the competition and denying fans the chance to get their hands on Baby Yodas in the here and now, and not months down the line.
Brickheadz had a bit of a lull last year, but recently saw the announcement of Donald Duck, and Goofy and Pluto, that are coming to the lineup on February 1. [Brick Fanatics]
