Kate whips royal fans into a frenzy as she honors a cause near and dear to her heart, ‘Beautiful.’

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, attended an event at the National Portrait Gallery to honor photography’s “wonderful power.”

Kate commended the efforts of all those engaged in the event on Instagram. “Thank you to all the great partners who helped Hold Still become a reality,” she stated. It took a long time to gather everyone involved in this tremendous effort in one place, but we did it tonight.

“The concept for #HoldStill2020 came immediately at the onset of the pandemic, and it aimed to bring individuals and communities together via the incredible power of photography,” she stated.

“It was made possible by a slew of collaborators, including @nationalportraitgallery @coopuk @bookfairies uk, to mention a few, and what’s more impressive is how it was all pulled together from kitchen tables and spare bedrooms!”

The Duchess of Cambridge is a patron of the National Portrait Gallery and was involved in the development of the project.

Hold Still was defined by the National Portrait Gallery as a “ambitious community effort to create a unique collective portrait of the UK under lockdown.”

A panel of judges selected 100 portraits from over 30,000 applications from around the country and across generations for the final display.

Prince William was also seen out and about this evening, watching Aston Villa take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The National Portrait Gallery praised Kate in a response to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official Instagram account.

“An wonderful initiative we’re thrilled to have been a part of – thank you,” they said.

They ended their gratitude note with heart emojis for the Duchess.

The Hold Still project, as well as Kate’s involvement, was lauded by royal enthusiasts on social media.

“Ah what a surprise to see our Duchess tonight!!,” wrote one royal fan account, william catherine82.

They wrote alongside heart-eyed emoticons, “She looked lovely as always.”

“I’m so pleased for everyone who got to meet her tonight!” they added.

“Hold Still is an incredible project.”

“So proud of our future Queen!” wrote another royal supporter, philibeth cambridges.

“I think this is one of the most important projects ever of the RF, and we will discuss about it for awhile,” Cambfamily, another royal fan Instagram account, reacted to the Duchess’s post.

Another royal admiration account, the mountbatten windsors, agreed: “This was such a great project.”

“Amazing effort all around!” they said.
