Kate Middleton mirrors Princess Diana’s renowned style with her understated selections.
PRINCESS DIANA is as fashionable today as she was in her lifetime. Kate Middleton’s dress and jewelry choices pay homage to the late princess.
Kate Middleton has established herself as a fashion icon in her own right. In reality, the Duchess of Cambridge’s stunning appearances are continually plastered across social media and the pages of glossy magazines. She does, however, take some style cues from the stylish Princess Diana.
Kate looked stunning in a long, gold Jenny Packham gown at the premiere of James Bond: No Time To Die.
She glistened from head to toe as she strolled the red carpet.
However, royal aficionados couldn’t help but assume they’d seen something similar before.
Diana, who is a huge Bond fan, attended the premiere of A View To Kill.
In 1985, 36 years before Kate, the late Princess of Wales wore a silver floor-length gown that was similarly royal.
In their tight gowns with a v-neck and prominent shoulder features, both appeared like handsome Bond girls.
Many people feel Kate was emulating Diana, who would have been her mother-in-law at the time.
“Before William came into her life, Kate loved Diana’s sense of style,” an insider told US magazine.
“She used to brag to her pals about how Diana was her style icon in high school.”
This wasn’t the first time Kate had given Diana a friendly nod.
Kate has a striking resemblance to the princess on numerous occasions.
The Princess of Wales shocked in a startling pink cloak in June 1990.
In March 2015, Kate was spotted wearing an almost identical ensemble.
Diana inspired her accessories, which included short black shoes and a black clutch purse.
The only difference was that Diana wore a skirt with her jacket, whereas Kate wore a one-piece for this occasion.
Kate most recently channeled Diana with a wide-brimmed black hat on Remembrance Day.
Diana wore a similar big black hat to the same event in 1992.
“I think getting into something that feels magnificent is incredibly soothing if you’re heading for a hard time,” Amanda Wakeley, who created Diana’s power outfits, remarked.
Diana transmitted signals “quite powerfully” through her garments, she added.
Kate appears to be following in Diana’s stylish footsteps as she assumes more regal obligations as the future queen.
