Kate and William will be saddened by the departure of a royal aide as he sends a sweet message.
After leaving his position as a royal aide to Kate and Prince William, Jason Knauf sent out a sweet message.
At the end of the year, Mr. Knauf stepped down as CEO of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Foundation.
He wrote a sweet message on LinkedIn today, expressing his pride in his work with William and Kate.
“As a new year begins, a chapter in my life closes,” Mr Knauf said.
“I’m moving to India to join my husband on a diplomatic posting after seven years working for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace and the Royal Foundation.”
“Having the opportunity to work as a communications secretary and then as the CEO of a foundation has been a highlight of my career.”
“With Heads Together, the Earthshot Prize, and the Centre for Early Childhood, we’ve built powerful platforms.”
“I’ve visited 36 countries and every corner of the United Kingdom, and I’ve made incredible new friends along the way.”
“I’ve been so proud to support the Duke and Duchess’s unique, optimistic leadership during a time when we’ve faced a pandemic, a climate crisis, a seismic shift in our attitudes toward mental health, and so much more.”
“I’m grateful to all of our supporters and partners who have believed in our ability to accomplish extraordinary things by working together.
“Wishing everyone a prosperous and happy 2022.”
Mr. Knauf announced in May that he would be leaving his position at the end of 2021.
The former corporate affairs executive, who was born in the United States, has worked for a variety of organizations including the Prime Minister’s Office in New Zealand, HM Treasury, and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2015, he became the Cambridges’ and Prince Harry’s communications secretary before taking over as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s press secretary.
From March to September of that year, Mr. Knauf led a review of the Royal Foundation’s role and structure before becoming its chief executive.
“We are immensely grateful for his hard work and commitment, both at the Royal Foundation and previously as our communications secretary,” William and Kate said when Mr Knauf’s departure was announced last year.
“Since becoming CEO, Jason has ushered in positive change, realizing our vision for our charitable work and the causes that matter most to us.”
“We are sorry to see him go, but we wish him the best.”
