Kate and William are engaged in an “epic scream-time battle” with their children over their refusal to follow a key rule.
According to two royal commentators, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William have a “very relatable” bedtime battle with their three young children.
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William are still wrangling with how to keep Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in line with bedtime routines.
The royal parents are going through a “very relatable” struggle, according to commentators Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi, as their three children challenge the “boundaries” Kate and William try to set with the help of nanny Maria Borrallo.
Last month, the Duke of Cambridge talked about his parenting work, admitting that George and Charlotte put each other to the test to see who picks up their morning playlist.
“It appears Kate and William have it rough at bedtime, just like the rest of us,” Christina Garibaldi, the host of Royally Us, said.
“Kids don’t want to go to bed when they’re supposed to.”
It’s a fine line to walk.
“Sometimes all you want to do is give in and say, ‘do whatever you want.'”
“You have to stick to the rules, but it’s a difficult balancing act.”
The three Cambridge children have a set bedtime, according to co-host Christine Ross, but they frequently engage in a “scream-time battle” with Kate and William to avoid having to go to bed.
“I can relate to this,” Ms Ross said.
“The Cambridge children have a 7 p.m. bedtime, and nanny Maria is on board.
“They’re all collaborating to get the kids to bed by 7:00 p.m.”
“Yet they have the epic scream-time battle that I think every parent has to deal with,” she continued.
“Prince William mentioned that they’re still figuring out how to set those boundaries and limit screen time.”
“I believe that is something that every parent can understand.”
Before heading to school, George and Charlotte challenged each other to take control of playlist selection, according to the Duke of Cambridge.
“Most mornings there’s a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning,” he said on the Apple Fitness Plus podcast A Time to Walk last month.
“And I now have to basically prioritize that someone does this one one day and then it’s someone else’s turn the next day.”
“So George has his turn, and Charlotte has her turn.
“There’s a lot of demand for the music.”
“Charlotte, in particular, is running around the kitchen with her dresses on,” he continued.
