JOSE MOURINHO is under pressure at Manchester United following poor results and a public bust-up with Paul Pogba.
And according to reports in Spain the midfielder will not be allowed to leave Old Trafford.
Pogba has been linked with a switch to Barcelona following comments criticising Mourinho and his style of play.
The World Cup winner was even stripped of the vice-captaincy as a result.
Now Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim United owners the Glazer family have no interest in selling Pogba.
The American owners are said to see the midfielder as the equivalent of Lionel Messi to Barcelona for the Red Devils.
And that could mean bad news for Mourinho if it comes down to just one of them staying at the club.
The Special One was under severe pressure before the international break with some reports saying he would be sacked regardless of the result against Newcastle.
A 3-2 comeback win appears to have given him some extra time at Old Trafford though.
Mundo Deportivo claim that Ed Woodward has been instructed to reject any bids for Pogba.
Barcelona and Juventus have both been credited with interest in the 25-year-old.
The reports say Pogba is keen to play alongside Messi at the Nou Camp.
Manchester United have not started well and sit seven points behind rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea after just eight matches of the campaign.
The Red Devils return to action following the international break as Mourinho takes on former side Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
After that Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford as United take on Juventus in the Champions League.
And it doesn’t get any easier for United as a derby against Manchester City is on the horizon as well.
