But Cricket World Cup finalist Jos Buttler, 28, revealed his wife Louise sending him to the spare room is all for good intentions. The cricketer said his supportive spouse, who he married in 2017, encourages him to sleep separately to get more sleep for his cricket matches. “I’ve been lucky, my wife’s been amazing,” he told GQ magazine. Any time we’ve had cricket matches she sends me to the spare room to get some sleep. She takes care of everything.”

Jos went on to say he has found a new perspective on life since the couple welcomed their baby daughter Georgia Rose back in April.

He said: “She helps me see cricket for what it is.

“Even before she came along, something I’ve always tried to do is to keep perspective about my cricket, and that allows me to play with a lot of freedom and a lot of fun when I’m in a good headspace like that.

“However, cricket goes, you go home and it’s a fantastic feeling to walk through the door to your wife and little girl.”

Jos tied the knot with Louise in October 2017.

The cricket star shared pictures from the pair’s special day on his Instagram page with 868,000 followers.

Jos could be seen putting a ring on his new wife’s fourth finger while they stood in front of guests.

He captioned the picture: “Mr and Mrs Buttler 21.10.17 the best day of our lives, thank you to everyone for making our day so special!”

Many of his fans flocked to his page to send their well wishes.

One user commented: “Have a beautiful and successful life ahead.”

A second wrote: “Congratulations Jos happy wedding,” while a third penned: “You are both made for each other in every life.”

Back in October last year, the cricketer shared a throwback from the pair’s special day to mark their anniversary.

He wrote: “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY @louisebuttler. The most amazing day and incredible year together as Husband and Wife, I love you.”

Today, England’s cricket team will face New Zealand in a bid to win victory in the World Cup final 2019.

The team’s World Cup final is their first in 27 years.
