During Wednesday’s episode of The Hundred with Andy Lee, radio host Joel Creasey shockingly admitted to “eating” his grandmother’s ashes.
The 35-year-old comedian clarified that the strange incident was an accident while participating in the quiz program.
During the “spooky-themed” episode of the Nine show, the Nova presenter said to host Andy Lee, “I actually ate my grandma.”
He continued by explaining that his grandma was meant to have her ashes dispersed at a Dan Murphy’s booze store in the Western Australian seaside village of Mandurah.
Joel went on, “Hand on heart, this is a true story.” “A strong wind picked up, and I got a big mouthful of Muriel [grandma].”

During the “spooky-themed” episode of the Nine show, the Nova presenter said to host Andy Lee, “I actually ate my grandma.”
The studio audience erupted in boisterous laughter, but Andy would not let the topic go.
He remarked, “Wow, what did it taste like?” Joel joked, “Just as bitter dead as alive.”
“And did you have the opportunity to say, “You’re terrible, Muriel” as you spat it out?” Andy said, referencing the iconic Australian movie Muriel’s Wedding, which starred Toni Collette. Using the famous tagline from the 1994 box office success, Andy said.
Joel frequently appears on The Hundred with Andy Lee as a panellist.
In an interview with Stellar magazine last month, the presenter—who formerly co-hosted Nova’s breakfast show alongside Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell—discussed his new noon program. “When this time slot came up, it’s time to put on my big boy pants and tackle it solo,” he said.

I’m also time-fluid. He remarked, “I don’t think anyone on Earth would trust me with a breakfast radio slot.”
“I no longer have anyone to blame, but I can assure you, I will find somebody,” he continued, adding that he was sure his event would be successful but had a backup plan in case it wasn’t. Gretel Killeen gave me some of the best advise I’ve ever received.
“Just blame anyone if something goes wrong,” she told me. “So that’s what I will do,” he laughed. “No one knows if you’re lying.”
The Joel Creasey Show is a weekday program that debuted on Nova at 1:00 PM on April 20.
When it was reported in January that Joel would not be joining co-stars Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell on their redesigned breakfast radio show, he made his big career announcement.
When the station confirmed it had removed Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie from the early morning position and replaced them with Ricki-Lee & Tim, Nova announced a significant shake-up.
However, despite being the third member of their team, comic Joel didn’t seem to be featured in the announcement, leaving fans of their current Drive program perplexed.
On the Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel show, the host disclosed that he would not be relocating far because he had secured his own national show on Nova.
