The President appeared to exaggerate the effectiveness of coronavirus vaccines during a CNN town hall gathering in Cincinnati on Wednesday night. The President also lost his line of thought throughout the conversation.
The President asserted, most notably, that taking the coronavirus vaccine would prevent Americans from becoming ill with the virus.
While coronavirus immunizations enhance the likelihood of avoiding Covid, they do not provide 100 percent protection.
“We are not in the position where we believe that any virus, including the Delta virus, which is far more transmissible and lethal in terms of unvaccinated people, is covered by the various doses that people are getting now,” President Biden stated.
“You’re fine; you’re not going to acquire Covid if you get these vaccines.
“If you are vaccinated, you won’t have to go to the hospital, you won’t have to go to the IC unit, and you won’t die.”
“As a result, it’s critical that we all act like Americans who care about our fellow citizens.”
When asked if the vaccine was available for youngsters under the age of 12, Mr Biden tripped.
“That’s in the works, just like the other ridiculous question,” he replied.
“And I’ve heard you talk about it because you’re always honest about what you’re doing – I’m not being solicitous – but you’re always honest about what you’re doing.
“’The point is whether or not we should be in a position where you uh, um, are – why can’t the specialists say we know this virus is, in fact, uh, um, uh, it’s going to be – or, excuse me, we, we, we know why all the drugs approved are not temporarily approved by permanently approved.
“That, too, is in the works. That is something I expect to happen quickly.”
Despite the President’s repeated gaffes, Joe Biden and his administration have maintained that he is in good health.
