Jessie J praises Prince William for his response to prejudice during Euro 2020.
PRINCE After condemning the abuse made towards members of the England squad following the Euro 2020 final, pop singer Jessie J praised William.
Following England’s defeat against Italy, the Duke of Cambridge, 39, who is also the FA’s president, criticized racial insults on England players. On Twitter, he issued a message in response to the events.
“I am disgusted by the racial comments directed at England players following last night’s match,” he stated.
“It is just unacceptable that players be subjected to such heinous behavior. It must come to an end right now, and everyone responsible should be held accountable. W.”
According to TMZ, singer Jessie J reportedly praised Prince William’s statement, calling it “a sign of development.”
On Tuesday, she was questioned by the site if the Royal Family had “learned” from Meghan Markle’s claims that she was discriminated against during her time as a royal.
The singer, whose full name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, is quoted as saying that William’s declaration that racist abuse against football players is “absolutely wrong” is “a major step in the right direction.”
Prince Charles also took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the players’ treatment.
